Yesterday, Mr. San Juan left us a task, a task for our Investment Management. Together with the task, he gave a statement. The statement is: “An investment is one which, upon thorough analysis, promises safety of principal and a satisfactory return”. The things that I think are vital in the statement are “thorough analysis”, “safety of principal” and “satisfactory return” which I will discuss later on.
The year 2012 marked the Philippines’ uprising in tourism market. Until today, Philippines have always been finding ways and putting efforts that will contribute to the growth of the tourism market. Government did its part by improving and sticking to the projects they have implemented that will benefit the tourism industry. Marketing played a very vital role to the growth of the industry. For now, Philippines is considered as the fastest growing tourism market in Southeast Asia.
This would be my last post for my blog, Love Yours. To be honest with you guys, I never thought that I would enjoy posting stuff in my blog and narrating my experience in everything that have made an impact to my life in these past years.
Me and my dad always spend some time together to “eat” and by that, we actually are able talk about life and happenings between us and to our family. Since we didn’t see each other more often because I’m currently studying in college, we are finding ways to catch-up and bond. Recently we had our dinner together at Recipes in Greenbelt. He was craving for it so we decided to eat there.
It was Black Saturday that time when Dawn of Justice first opened in theatres. The fam have been waiting for this movie for a very long time. So when we watched the trailer for the movie, we immediately search for when it will be showed in Philippine cinemas. Since then, we made our plans to watch it on the same day the movie will be showed in cinemas.
Since we’re from south, we have decided to watch Dawn of Justice at Alabang Town Center Cinemas. With all the hype for this movie, the queue for the tickets were so long. It took us an almost 20 mins for us to get a ticket for the movie. All of the theatres are showing Dawn of Justice only and all of the schedules are fully booked already. So we only got our tickets for the last full show for we already don’t have a choice. We didn’t like to go to other cinemas because for us, we think Alabang Town Center cinemas have the best cinemas that are just near to home. Luckily, it was during the Easter break when Dawn of Justice aired in theatres because if not, I don’t think that I could come with the fam for us to watch the movie together.
Teatro Tomasino is the official university-wide theater guild of the University of Santo Tomas. They are known for organizing stage plays and events within and outside the school premises. Last April 20, our block watched, “Ang Favorite Book ni Jude”, a stage play performed by Teatro Tomasino held at Albertus Magnus Auditorium.
Last March 27, Tita Jane invited us for a dinner since his husband, tito Aying, together with his family are balikbayans. It’s not the first time we actually spend time with tito Aying’s family for we already spend a summer together. Plus it was also the birthday of tito Aying’s dad, so it was a very memorable one. We celebrated the get together and the feast at Four Seasons Buffet at Manhattan Parkview in Cubao.
Prelims Week aka Hell Week is the week where most of the students forget their life and commit to the books and every lecture in order to grasp information. It is also the week of the “Judgement day” where you will be given a test to assess your learnings to a certain subject. I remembered very clearly that it was during the anticipation of hell week, when me and my friends have decided to do a group study for Operations Research since it’s gonna be our first exam for the week. I invited Drew, Paul and Jun to join me study. I remembered that it was Monday and we don’t have any classes or examinations that time so it was a great opportunity for us to study for our upcoming exams.
We’re searching for a cheap place to eat and a place where you could study while slouching around. As we walk in Dapitan, we noticed this new burger and smoothie place in Antonio. First we were disturbed by its name and make fun of it for it sounds funny and by that it made us want to try this place. This burger and smoothie place is called Boo Rock.
After we hear the mass, we find a place to eat. Since we always attend our mass at Greenbelt Chapel, we always end up spending the rest of our Sundays at Greenbelt or Glorietta. That time, we have decided to eat at Greenbelt. We searched for a place that will satisfy our craving. My sister was craving for burgers that time that’s why I suggested that we should go to TGI Fridays.
In college you get to know a whole lot of people. Most of them become your friends. You lose some of those friends while some stayed and changed your life to bring out the better version of you. These two are one of those friends who actually brought out the better version of me. Aya, Aire and me are the Team North and South.
Last March 2, we went to SEC to get information for our study we currently taking up. That’s our thesis, in case you don’t know. After we went to SEC, we have decided to just relax for a bit and spend good time and company with each other. We went to Rob Galleria in Ortigas since it’s just few walks away from SEC. It’s already past lunch time when we reached Rob Galleria so we think of where to eat. As we search for something to eat, Burgoo attract us for its good promo during lunch time. So immediately we tried for it since none of us have an experience in Burgoo.
